Santa Monica Motors truly knows what customer service means. They take the time to fully discuss the issues with your vehicle and you even get email notices letting you know when it is time get it serviced. They are very honest mechanics and I can trust their recommendations.

I was referred here by my Honda service center because they decided not to tell me til I got there that their "smog guy" was off for the day (yes I specified I wanted a state emissions check when I made the appointment online).. not relevant i'm just still pissed off. I was grumpy and showed up w/ my DMV paperwork and said "I've never done this before but I need a smog check." Rich was kind and provided amazing customer service, explaining my results and keeping me there less than 30 minutes. Water cooler provided in the waiting area. Information provided on a nearby cafe (daisy cafe). Couldn't ask for more.

Fast friendly service for smog check. Good explanation of results. I may also consider for car rental for out of town guests, pick them up at LAX, drop them here, and save on airport rental rates.

Although I don't love that my car needed work, santa monica motors made it easy for me to leave it there and get it when I needed by driving me home and picking me up. They kept in touch about problems, explained what they needed to do and why, kept me informed about costs along the way and generally made me feel like my car was in knowledgeable hands. I was treated with respect also. I have come here for awhile and learn little bits about my car since I ask questions and they don't mind answering. I trust them. I have especially found Josh to be excellent and reliable and good at communicating.
