Honest, trustworth & Friendly - We always look for these qualities and they are hard to find in people let alone a mechanic. I have been going to Santa Monica Motors for years and have always trusted them to do the right thing. The price is always reasonable with quality work. Josh and Karim along with the team of mechanics go out of there way to make sure everything is done right and inform you if they see a problem. I always get good advise from them and never have to feel cheated, I never have a complain about the quality of work they perform. Thx for being my trusted mechanic shop you have my business for years.I have to agree with Cleopatra that Martin M had a bad experience because of his racist views, a mechanic shop that performs quality work and be able to offer you warranty on their work is definetly going to be more expensive then if you buy a part and install yourself or have it installed at some shop that can't warranty the work (not allowed by Law in CA). By CA law a mechanic shop has to offer warranty on the work performed. Martin is going to realize his savings were not worth it when that pump fails to work because of whatever reasons and the parts store or the cheap mechanic he used are not going to stand behind there work. Did he pay CASH and saved on TAX too :)

I've taken three different cars to Santa Monica Motors, and have always been happy with the results. They are wiling to work with you (finding interesting solutions to problems), and are flexible and communicative.I was sorry to read about Martin M's experience; but then again, he sounds like a racist, so I guess he should just stick to having only white people work on his Chevy (good luck with that, in Southern California)...

As always, Josh was kind, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He saved me a lot of money today by refuting the diagnosis that the dealers had given me. I appreciated his honesty and hope it spreads to the rest of the industry! Best wishes.

Had a problem with my mini cooper and it became apparent that the mechanic at Santa Monica Motors couldn't remedy the problem and it needed to go to the mini dealer downtown in L.A. It was a Friday and I could not drive the car due to it's problem. They set me up in a rental car for the weekend and beyond and took care of getting my car to the dealer in LA. I was so impressed with their service and them going to the lengths they went to get my car fixed... Josh was great and I really feel they went over and beyond the call of duty to make this otherwise pain in the neck situation a pleasant one... Plus they absorbed the cost of it all... Santa Monica Motors is great and as a woman who knows nothing about cars feel they are totally trustworthy and I am so glad I found a car place that doesnt make me anxious...
