I was referred to SM Motors by my co-workers and I will not go anywhere else. I hate cars but going to SM Motors was a pleasant experience. Josh was honest, knowledgeable, efficient, and thorough. He takes time to answer all of my questions. He was completely honest about the work that needed to be done ASAP and what work could wait until my next visit. During my last visit, I actually paid less than what was estimated because after the evaluation, I was informed my oil did not need to be changed. I have never dealt with such an honest, professional mechanic. I am so grateful to go somewhere that is so honest and won't do unnecessary work. To actually trust a mechanic is refreshing.I highly endorse SM Motors and refer my friends and neighbors!!!!! The entire staff is nice, friendly, and prices are reasonable.

Santa Monica Motors is the only auto shop I will take my Prius and Subaru even with dealers for both cars right in town. It is a professional, trustworthy and friendly place - three adjectives that aren't normally heard together when describing an auto shop. I highly recommend them.

Took my '07 Honda Civic to Santa Monica Motors, where the staff was very professional and efficient. In about an hour they changed my oil, lubed the chassis, inspected the brakes/tires/suspension and unclogged my windshield washer nozzles. Jason was great to work with. He recommended some things I need to keep an eye on and possibly do at the next oil service, but said basically my car is in great shape. I'll be back!

I took my car here for an oil and transmission change which went as planned, then they did a pretty thorough inspection and ended up fixing my windshield sprayers free of charge. Sweet deal.
