Everyone at Santa Monica Motors is excellent and also friendly. They keep my old Honda Accord in very good condition. I highly recommend them. I have been going to them for many years.

The term, honest mechanics seems to be an oxymoron. Akin to the terms Jumbo Shrimp and Temporary Tax Increase. But Santa Monica Motors breaks with history. My most recent experience begins with having to take my car to another shop because i had moved from Santa Monica. Unfortunately, that shop couldn't recalibrate the service indicator on the dashboard. They didn't have the calibration unit for BMWs. Meaning I was driving around with the constant reminder that my car was overdue for service and in trouble. I called Karim from Santa Monica Motors and he agreed to fix the problem. No charge.Yes, feel free to say the words, Honest Mechanics and not smirk at the irony of its meaning.Vinny

Totally my go-to guys, both for my own Volvo and for my daughter's Nissan, both old cars which needed TLC. WAY cheaper than the competition when I got comparable estimates. One time I sent my daughter there, thinking the bill would be in the high 3 figures - less than $100! Plus Josh, the manager, goes out of his way for all his customers, hunting down better value parts on-line. Why not 5 stars? Because only my children get 5 stars!

I've been going to Santa Monica Motors for over 20 years through two owners. Their service is consistently excellent & resonably priced. They answer questions, provide needed info about manintenance and repair and are friendly.

this company is very unusual: they are very competent and honest! i have been going to them for decades through two owners and have nothing but positive things to say. they are experts and stand by their work. and they are very accommodating and friendly. prices are as reasonable as possible for these times we live in. there are very good reasons that i have never brought my cars to another place in all these years. i also have many friends who have been customers for decades as well.

All you can ask for when getting a smog check -- fast and friendly service at a reasonable price. They offer a $10 coupon on their website, making it an even better deal. Took only 30 minutes to get the whole thing done on a weekday afternoon, and you can grab a bite at the Lazy Daisy Cafe or a brew at the Daily Pint while you wait.

There's a reason I keep coming here. They're good people who take good care of my car. Ended up costing less than I thought, which is always appreciated. Went a little longer than I hoped, but that's what I get for coming right before lunch. Plus, hanging at the park is fine for me. See you in 6 months!
