I came in to Santa Monica MotorsSanta Monica Smog test to do a pre smog check inspection. on my 1997 Nissan Altima. On the phone they told me that the inspection would be $120 and then an additional $69 for the smog test at Santa Monica Smog test, it's the same place. They also mentioned that they offer a shuttle service to take me home.They were very nice when I got there, and after giving them my information, I was told that the inspection would be just $70. Thinking I just saved $50 already made me happy.I waited about 25 minutes for the shuttle driver and got a ride to my house also in Santa Monica.After 2 hours I received a phone call saying that there weren't any problems, they took my car through the smog test and it passed and the whole charge was $69. So bassicaly, they inspected the car, fixed what was neccesary I know for sure that the idle had to be adjusted, they only charged me for the test itself, and also gave me a ride back to the shop. I couldn't possibly ask for more.

I am new to California and had to go to the dreaded experience of the DMV. Actually, it wasn't too bad. Then I found out that before I could get my tags, I needed to get a smog check. Great, this should take forever. Actually, I used Yelp and saw the great reviews for this place. They were extremely friendly and took me right away. I was out in less than 20 minutes and back on my way to the DMV. The employees are VERY nice and explained exactly what they were checking (as I am from FL, I had no clue). I highly recommend and will use them again in the future!!

What's there to complain on? Nothing, I guess. Sure there are cheaper places in K-town but these guys are friendly, fast, professional, god damn fast, and really freaking fast, and with the coupon it ain't even that much more expensive. Why not take a stroll in Virginia Park while you wait, or just hang out, coz you'll be out of there in no-time.

Quick, efficient, friendly and did I mention QUICK? Also, perk: About 20 paces away from The Daily Pint... (not that I condone drinking and driving, but just oooooonnnnne....) However, you probably won't even have a chance to finish a pint because they are lightning fast!! See you in 2 years, fellas!

Best smog-check center! In and out in literally 20mins (10am on a Tuesday), and Bob is awesome. Dont forget to print out the coupon on their website.

To be honest, I thought charging me, a long time customer, $35 was a bit much. $25, maybe. But you are the only shop I go to, so there you have it.
