I brought my 1998 Honda in with a screeching sound at ignition. It's an old car, and lots of things have gone wrong with it, so I was prepared -- but dreadding -- the bill, which I thought would be hundreds of dollars. But it turned out to be a slipped belt, which was very inexpensive to repair. I have always had good service and appreciate the honesty of Santa Monica Motors. THANK YOU!

Found this place through Yelp and so so so glad I did. REALLY quick and REALLY easy. It's on first come, first serve. Brought my car in for a smog certification at 12:15. Checked in at the desk with Bob and while he got the paperwork ready, his attendant was already on my car. Literally less than 10 minutes later, I was done. NO LIE. Granted, I came when there was no one else there, so there was literally no wait. Bob was funny and personable. Explained the process and even gave me tips on how to preserve the life of my car. We all hate getting smog checks and waiting, but this place is so efficient and easy that it makes it painless. Highly recommend!!! P.S. remember to check in on Yelp or use their online discount for $10 off. With discount, came out to be $59.

We've gone back here a couple times now and they do a phenomenal job, always very quickly. They've always been really friendly and I cannot imagine a better experience for dealing with a smog check.
