Don at Santa Monica Motors is a mechanical genius! And a very honest man. I would never bring any of my cars to anyone else!

Had an unexpected mechanical in my jeep Wrangler with loss of clutch. Had to have the car towed to Santa Monica motors without appointment. They diagnosed the problem and provided an estimate within 24 hours. Two days later I had the car back with new clutch and flywheel repair. Santa Monica motors is great!

Checked Yelp first. Called in. Reached Bob. Bob was polite and very helpful with my silly "do you have Wi-Fi" questions. I liked that he set expectations at 30 minutes, even though the actual process took about 20 all told. It cost me ~$70.00 and I passed the first time. I had to buy new plates and register my car so it was EXTREMELY convenient to walk 5 steps and just finish the whole process at once. Eduardo was even kind enough to put the plates on the front of my car. Bob + Eduardo made my experience great.

I have been to this place twice already and I can vouch for the superb customer service they provide for you. The place is clean and have some comfy indoor and outdoor seating area. Both times I went, the job was done in about 15 minutes or so. I would also recommend the business next door (separate business) who does vehicle registration services much like DMV does, with less hassle than going to an actual DMV branch. You will be issued a registration sticker right away. You need to mention you had your smog inspection done next door because they will give you a discount taken from the service fee.

Took my car into Santa Monica Motors yesterday. They took care of all the emergency things that needed to get fixed. They gave me a quote and when I arrived to pay it was $100 cheaper than my original quote. That felt good.
