The second year in a row, Ive been to these guys for a smog check. They sent me an email reminder and got me in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. Super great service and convenient. Nice people and no upselling.

I've been bringing all our cars to Bob and his crew at Santa Monica motors for the past 25 years. The testing station has evolved as has the technology which makes the in and out simpler. The one constant is Bob's chill attitude and approach to everyone who walks in the door. Santa Monica Motors is The absolute best SMOG STATION ANYWHERE!

Bob assisted me. He was professional and friendly. The smog check took very little time. The waiting area was clean. Everyone who helped me were professional.

This was my second time coming to Santa Monica Motors! . First time it was for a smog check and this time it was for an oil change. While driving from Long Beach to Santa Monica only 15 min into my drive my alternator died on me. I got there and asked if they would check my battery and alternator and they said there would be an additional charge . I declined the service and said I would arrange something with AAA and they said don’t worry about we will take care of it at no cost. It turned out it was my alternator and now I had to figure out who was going to get an alternator the same day. Well after calling around and no luck I asked if they did alternator replacement and could they get one same day and they said yes. Initially they said it would take the whole day and by 1pm my car was done oil change and new alternator replaced! My car was like brand new!!! My car was perfect !! I highly recommend them 100% ! I found my forever auto shop!!! Thank you guys so much !!!

They are very honest and told me to anothef place with more expertise for a power train issue; and they helped me to find the right place.
