Wherever you thought about going for car Maintenace and smog checks BEFORE coming here STOP thinking that and GO visit this shop! I started my morning spending 30 minutes at a shop just down the street who tried to "hustle" for $95.00 for a smog check because my vehicle was out of state and the check was needed to switch my registration. The moment I drove into Santa Monica Motors I could feel this was not your local shady shop. The attendant who received my vehicle was friendly and polite. The shop was clean and very well kept. Bob and the office staff were welcoming, attentive and had such a positive aura! The process took all of 15 minutes and I was still able to make my DMV appointment with their help! It's the small things like a smile, good morning and interacting with people who you can tell LIKE being at work that take customer care above and beyond!

another great experience at SM Motors. I've been coming here for over 10 years and the service never disappoints. Don and his crew are just the best. i needed a weird reflector light for my mini cooper. Don called all over the place and got it. They truly care about their customers and you can tell by all the positive reviews. I recommend this place to everyone. If you are going somewhere else it's a mistake.

Great place. Friendly, professional and the waiting area is super comfortable! They are fast and offer a decent price. It makes getting a smog check pleasant. There are 4-5 places between where I live and these guys but I will make this drive every two years just for them. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! These guys rock.

Once again Santa Monica Motors saves the day. Drove in, job done that day.

It's something we MUST DO every 2 years. My BF & I both had our vehicles smogged this year. Now we have to wait another 2 whole years to revisit this place! It was truly the prettiest auto/mechanic type waiting area I have ever seen! And it only took them 15 minutes to complete the smog check. I wanted it to be longer. I could hang out her all morning, at least. Kudos to their interior designer, rugged as an auto repair type place should be, but so aesthetically pleasing. They even have a Keurig, a flat screen, comfy chairs with bright red pillows.... I want one of the rooms in my future house to look like this, minus the mechanics. Or, maybe having a personal mechanic hanging around wouldn't be such a bad idea. Hmmm. They've got me thinking. See what 15 minutes at Santa Monica Smog Check did for me?! Give it a go... I promise you WON'T be disappointed! Anyone need their car smogged? I don't think I can wait 2 more years...
