After the warranty ran out on my Audi I started taking my car here for the scheduled maintenance in lieu of paying crazy prices at the dealership. In addition to paying a fraction of what the dealership charged for scheduled service the main guy Ray always explains everything clearly and patiently and also sent a very clear overview via email about what was going on with my car what I needed to deal with urgently and what I could deal with later. The only bad thing about them is that they are closed on weekends. One weekend my car was stalling and I made the mistake of going to another local shop that couldn't figure out what was going on and directed me to just go to the Audi dealer. However I waited till SM Motors was open the following Monday and thought I'd just see if they could figure it out. The manager Don went so far out of the way to help me and figure the issue out...it was crazy. He was acting as if my car issue was his personal issue which helped put me at ease that I was dealing with a company that cared about my business and doing a good job. Don would text me updates and gave me a loner car since the job took a couple days. Long story longer...The repair ended up being 1,400 dollars which obviously I was not excited about but it was literally half the cost that Audi quoted for the same job and he threw in a free car wash just like the dealers do and a bonus oil change (like the dealers don't do). I really appreciate that there are still old school professional shops like this. I couldn't recommend them more.
