My poor aging car needed a smog check in order to renew the license. These gentlemen took care of the paperwork and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I wouldn't go anywhere else, the waiting area was clean bright, and cheerfully decorated something you don't usually get in the auto service industry, for this and more they get my business.

A++ establishment! Quick, friendly, and conveniently located off the I-10 at the intersection of Cloverfield and Pico. This place is a one-stop shop for CA mandated smog checks and annual DMV registration renewal. Who would have known that you can also rent a Uhaul and purchase moving boxes here?! Bob is kind, knowledgeable, and helpful and the staff is quick and efficient. He always gives me a coupon and directs me to their separate waiting lounge where there is WiFi, TV, and drinks. On their busiest day I have never had to wait longer than 30min from check-in to exit. Will not go anywhere else. Top-notch thanks to Bob!

Bob Rich is the best.... clean, comfortable location. The guys in the garage were really helpful and nice....great Santa Monica business that hopefully is supported by the community. Brought my daughters Mercedes 230 SLK in and they took care of it in 20 minutes..... This is how to run a business....

This is one of the nicest auto body shops I've ever visited. They operate like a well oiled machine and every employee I encountered was professional and friendly. I went in for a smog check only but after my experience, I'll be bringing my vehicle here for all types of service.

Been coming here for over 10 years. Can't say enough great things about this place. In fact this is an update to an older post. Want to say AGAIN how much I love this place and how amazing the staff is. Go in and see Don. Love this place.

Don rules! I've taken my car here a few times and had multiple experiences but every time I deal w Don, he is more than awesome. My bro & dad know cars, how much stuff should cost to get fixed and when and Santa Monica Motors is on point with their estimates and recommendations. Their service is awesome. They always take care of my car well, get it back to me in a timely manner, never EVER try to rip me off or sell me things I don't need, and communicate with me a ton during the entire process. Don even took me to work this last time and they have offered rides within the area. The last time my car wasn't ready when they thought, they paid for a rental car for an additional day for me without even asking. This time they offered me a loaner in the same situation. I certainly didn't expect it nor assume this should happen. Most car shops would leave you to fend for yourself, fix it on their time frame and would upsell you. They always fit me in within a day or two of calling as well. These guys are super LEGIT, trustworthy, honest, affordable and even cool dudes. Thanks Don. You rule. Fab experience w you again.

I would definitely recommend this spot to others looking to get a smog check. The service was fast, the people are responsive, and there is a nice waiting room to sit in.
