I was told about Santa Monica Motors by another mechanic. They said I would save money. I did and it also helps to use your mechanic's name. I did this at a 'check in' that was very pleasant. A couple of customers were using their laptops and a coffee machine was available at no cost. There is just something different about the place. It is the most friendly independent smog/repair facility I've ever been to. They don't work on everything (my Cadillac) but they will smog anything. When I was leaving a guy who didn't even serve me gave a wave. A great experience which also includes getting an email asking for my opinion. Who does this? Must be others but this is a first.

Smog or repairs ... you can always depend your on Santa Monica Motors. A great find when I moved here 2 years ago.

Had to get a 2000 BMW smogged, that no other shop around could get to pass. They were able to figure it out and got it to pass. Highly recommend these guys. They're honest and know their stuff! Will be taking all my cars here from now on.

I've been going here for years. They have a great system in place. Bob meets you outside, gets your information on his iPad and directs you to their lounge where you sign the paper work. They have coffee and water and comfy seats to wait in. About 20 minutes later my car was done and I was on my way.

I walked in without an appointment and was out before I could drink a cup of coffee I made there! SMOG check has never been so easy.
