Came here this morning for a smog check that I needed fairly last minute to meet my renewal deadline. I gave the place a ring first thing in the morning and was told I did not need an appointment and to just swing by. Taking my chances, I came around 8:30am on Friday and after parking was immediately greeted by Bob, an extremely friendly mechanic who began taking down my vehicle information. I was told to take care of the payment and wait for the service in the office next door where I was again greeted by an extremely friendly staff and efficient service (with coffee provided). Even though there were about 4 other people in the waiting room, clearly they were also being handled simultaneously because my smog check was completed in no more than 10 minutes at which point I was out without any issues. They offer a great coupon via Yelp and their website, too and at end of the day are very price competitive although I would return for service alone. They even topped off my coolant before I left! 10/10 and highly recommend Santa Monica Motors to anyone and everyone.
