Absolutely fabulous--efficient, quick, polite, attentive--a weird word to use for a visit to a mechanic for a smog check but it is the right word--a lovely waiting room with water and coffee and comfortable chiars...I was in and out in 35 minutes...absolutely a first rate place

Smog Check. Regular Client at this location for many years. No appointment necessary. Quick, easy & NICE. Technician takes keys and directs you to Office, where Bob greats you. He handles paperwork/payment and he's worked at this location for 41 years. Bob is always pleasant. Waiting room has air conditioning, coffee, TV, comfy chairs, restroom. Highly recommend! I have an out of state car and was able to do a smog check, register the vehicle, and obtain CA plates. Instead of waiting for a DMV appointment that can take up to 6 weeks in LA or standing in line for 4 hours without an appointment, I was able to get all of this accomplished in less than 45 minutes. Harry, the operations manager, was as helpful as can be! I will definitely be coming back and recommending people to this place.

Staff are friendly. Repair was diagnosed and completed quickly. I will return when future work is needed.

Really friendly service and I was in and out for a smog check in under 20 min. Their checkout process was very fast and let's you send receipts via email or text. Be sure to mention Yelp and save $10. They have a little waiting area, but it's also kitty corner to a whole foods 360 with groundworks coffee. Walking over there made the time go even quicker! Overall very pleasant experience and I will be back when I need a smog check again.

The staff at Santa Monica Motors was very professional. The service was great - fast & accurate. The price was very reasonable; in fact they suggested applicable discounts, e.g. AAA. I’ve been having cars smog checked there for about 8+ years.
