The best automotive shop I've been to. Honest efficient and pleasant. Oh and the waiting room is so well designed and stocked. You can work while you wait with their Wifi, drinks and comfy seating. Highly recommend this place!

Their digital diagnostic reporting platform allows you to digest the vehicle feedback in your own time. The team at Santa Monica Motors is not pushy, and it's clear they only want what's best for you and your vehicle. They also went above and beyond quickly servicing my vehicle when I mentioned my time-sensitivity in needing my vehicle back quickly for a holiday weekend road trip. Excellent service for my smog test. My car failed due to faulty gas cap. I was informed that they could supply a new one for about $25 and the car would pass about an extra $10 to re test. The car passed , after about an extra 15 minutes , total time about 30 minutes. Very comfortable air-conditioned waiting room. Very polite service.

Santa Monica Motors was a dream to deal with. I showed up within an hour of closing time on a weeknight and they got me in right away. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. My car had a small issue with a cracked hose and they helped to remedy the situation so that my car could pass smog. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks so much!

Honestly, the Santa Monica Motors Team - most notably Ray, are the best. Incredibly personable, thorough, respectful, timely, organized... they make what can often be an absolutely miserable experience a positive one. I live in the Valley and I still take my car to SMM (on my way to work) because I don't want to risk taking it anywhere else. I would highly recommend SMM!

I came in for a smog check and was running late to my DMV appointment. The staff rushed my job and I was in and out of there in under twenty minutes and made my appointment.
