Great customer service, very friendly and efficient staff.
The STAR smog check, as required by the California DMV, appears to have been done satisfactorily. Very difficult to understand the necessity of such a lengthy process.
Brought my car last year for a smog check and decided to brin it back here again. They quickly figured out what was wrong and had my car finished really quickly. The technology they used to show me what was wrong was really helpful. It kept me from having to go back and forth from the shop to learn what was wrong. The service was really great. Especially from Ray. He took the time to make sure I understood everything that was going on. Would definitely reccomend this place to friends.

Good old fashion customer treatment and service. I was greeted by Bob himself. Although there were 4 cars awaiting smog checks he assured me it was possible to inspect my car. They did that in a very reasonable amount of time as I relaxed in the comfortable customer waiting area which had the feel of the lobby of a hotel. Everything was real. The smog experience is always unpleasant. Not these last 4-6 years with Santa Monica Motors. I’ll return every time with my two cars. Thanks for being the pros that you are. I hope Bob never sells the place. The day that happens it will be the end of an era. They don’t make them like Bob anymore. Drop by and be pleasantly smoged!
