Super quick service, nice waiting room, and they'll even process your DMV registration on site so you can drive away with your stickers. Probably not the cheapest place in town but it was so great to get in and out in under 15 minutes when I realized the day my registration renewal was due that I needed a smog check!

I don't do many reviews. When I do, the service/experience is either very good or very bad. My service today at Santa Monica Motors was awesome. If you need a smog check and you are anywhere close to the west side of Los Angeles, or even if you're not, this is the place to go. Before going, my wife called to find out if I needed an appointment. No one answered and she left a message. Within a few minutes, Bob returned her call and was very apologetic about not being available to answer the phone. He said no appointment was needed, but I should be there 30 minutes before closing. When I arrived, they took my car right away and I was done within 15 minutes. I met Bob, who was extremely nice. He informed me how I could get my vehicle registration renewed more quickly through my auto club. The cost for the smog check was around $60 with a $10 off coupon. I don't know a lot about car maintenance but Josh was helpful and helped me look through the car and recommend the needed maintenance. Good service, nice waiting room, and they also have pick-up and drop-off service so you can get things done instead of waiting for your car (also shout out to the driver - I forgot his name but he is literally human GPS).

If you are one of the many people like me who have a horror story about an experience at a dealership, look no further! I can't imagine talking my car any other place! Everyone is super friendly and honest! They make a point to remember your name and update you regularly when you drop your car off for service. I know very little about cars but Ray and Don have always taken the time to listen to me and have been up front with what is a MUST fix or what can wait. I have a car that is getting up there in years and I recently had what I thought was a minor problem with my AC but when I brought it in it turned out to be the worst case scenario. I struggled with the decision to get it fixed but it's a Honda and those run forever, right? Ray walked me through the fix and told me that beyond this, my car is in good condition. This wasn't a reason to get rid of the car. I went with the fix and the car is back on the road keeping me cool! They guarantee their work so I know I am covered. I will absolutely be back for whatever bumps in the next 100,000 miles occur!

These guys are straightforward, honest, friendly, and really helpful. This place is my go-to for any car service. They have a great waiting room, easy location, and an awesome team. A++

What a great and friendly staff. Had just purchased my first car from a friend and was nervous about getting a smog check for DMV but they made it so simple! Got in and out super fast and they even gave me a discount for checking in. Not every place is certified by the DMV so be careful. This place is certified! Great pricing, great staff, honest, and super reliable. Great business overall.
